Verge 23 Conference, San Jose, California – Oct 2023

GreenBiz held their annual Verge Climate Tech Event at the San Jose Convention Center. APL has been presenting its equipment at the Verge Expo for the past ten years. We have previously provided the baseload power for their microgrid, but this year we presented our newest product, the CharPallet CP 25. We have been shifting our focus to the carbon sequestration end of our climate mitigation work, which has always been the core mission of APL. Gasifying waste biomass draws down atmospheric CO2, converting much of it into a stable carbon matrix in biochar. Sequestering this carbon in the soil……

Verge Conference Microgrid, San Jose, California – September 2022

PP30 at Verge conference

All Power Labs provided a Power Pallet PP30 to be included in the microgrid that powered to the exhibition floor for the 2022 Verge Climate Tech event. GreenBiz has used 100% renewable energy to help power their Verge events since 2013, when they first began using a microgrid to supply the power for the main…

Regenitech, Whitefish, Montana – March 2022

PP30 in greenhouse at Regenitech in Montana

A PP30 was added to Regenitech’s regenerative agricultural facility in NW Montana. They will be testing the Power Pallet inside one of the greenhouses at their Earth Power Lodge (EPL) location. The biochar it produces will be used for the production of their soil regenerating biostimulants. It is being added to their extensive EPL biorefinery system as another of the integrated components furthering their development of modern sustainable agricultural practices and products. They anticipate the PP30 becoming a part of an integrated regenerative agricultural system able to be deployed at other small farms and homes….

Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York – November 2021

rendering labeled: Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center building at Stony Brook University

The Advanced Energy and Technology Center at Stony Brook University, which is a part of the State University of New York system has installed one a PP30 at the Advanced Energy Center (AEC) lab. They are operating the unit as part of their graduate program in Chemical and Molecular engineering, and plan to study the physics of the operation of the gasifier and the chemistry of its producer gas product. AEC is working to increase the efficiency of current energy systems, and to promoting the adoption of alternative and renewable sources that can help to reduce their carbon footprint. They……

National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore – July 2017

crew from University of Singapore with PP20

The National University of Singapore (NUS) installed a PP20 to contribute to research on bioenergy and gasification. NUS began over 100 years ago as a small medical school, today, it is Singapore’s flagship university. A world-class research institution, teams at NUS are working in the same areas of interest as APL, studying gasification technologies and the acronomic uses and benefits of Biochar. We hope that having access to our machine helps them make breakthroughs in this important research space….

CICY, Yucatan, Mexico – Dec 2017

crew from Center for Scientific Research of Yucatán (CICY) with PP20

The Center for Scientific Research of Yucatán (CICY) has installed a PP20 Power Pallet at the campus in Merida, Yucatan. CICY is a public Research Center of the CONACYT (Mexican National Council of Science and Technology) focused on conducting basic and applied research to develop and transfer technology that promotes the development of a society in harmony with the environment. CICY has a strong focus on climate change due to the Yucatan’s extensive forests and abundant resources that can be used for bioenergy, such as wastes from the agri-food industry. Part of the CICY’s mission is to become a key……

Rwanda Girls School, Gashora, Rwanda – Dec 2017

Vincent Igboeli installing PP20 at Rwanda Girls School

Vincent Igboeli installing PP20 at Gashora In 2009, the Rwanda Girls Initiative opened Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology (GGAST) – an upper-secondary girls’ boarding school located in Bugesera District an hour south of the capital city of Kigali. GGAST welcomed its first class of 90 girls in February, 2011. Tapping into APL’s long-established relationships in Africa, especially with the Booker Washington Institute in Liberia, APL placed a PP20 at the Gashora campus. The school has an active agricultural program, operating a successful 14-acre farm on campus where they hope to perfect techniques for running the locally plentiful macadamia……

University of Newcastle, Newcastle, Australia – March 2018

two workers sift biomass

Researchers at the University of Newcastle are as committed as we at APL are to improving the process of gasification. They installed a PP20 as part of this effort. They believe innovations in this technology are not only important economically for industry, but also valuable to society’s overall quality of life, health, and environment. We look forward to the results of their studies and effort to help reduce energy poverty and address climate change….

CIRAD, Montpellier, France – April 2018
