FFR&D is a permaculture and renewable energy project located in Victoria, Australia. Their mission includes reducing wildfire fuel loads, improving forest management, and accelerating the transition to low‑carbon transportation technologies.

Oliver Holmgren travelled to All Power Labs as part of his Bob & June Prickett Winston Churchill Fellowship devoted to the study of bioenergy and biochar systems to power ethical and sustainable forest management. Oliver’s Woodgas Hybrid Electric Truck Project, which uses sustainable forestry residues as a renewable energy source capable of converting waste wood into clean power, is the associated Australian pilot project under development by FFR&D.

APL is enabling this by providing access to its GEN3 CharPallet gasification technology and sharing our resources to assist Oliver and FFR&D’s innovation goals, and to support them in their development of this novel, carbon‑negative technology.
